BIO

Rania M. M. Watts has been writing poetry since the age of 13, when she first discovered the healing power of the written word, a force that continues to shape her current work. Through perseverance and lived experience, she has forged a creative path rooted in resilience, vulnerability, and EXTREME hope. Her poetry fearlessly explores dark and complex subject matter while consistently offering threads of light and human connection throughout her work. A multidisciplinary creative, she works across writing and visual expression, though poetry remains her truest form of communication.
Rania is the curator of the Roach Print Anthology, with all profits donated to global mental health initiatives. Her work has appeared in the 48th Street Press Broadside Series and Open Minds Quarterly’s classroom edition, used in educational settings to support mental health awareness. She has also contributed music journalism and reviews to UK-based publications The Punk Archive and Music Gateway. In 2023, she released multiple poetry collections, including Trajectory, Verity, Summer to Summer Rewind, Navigation, and Broken Candy, alongside expanded editions of Cockroach Blueprint 213 Ways to Kill a Cockroach, and Sick: Twisted Drinking Game in 2024, which she co-authored with Luke Young. Her forthcoming book, WTF Is Wrong With You, inspired by her 2023 trip to the UK, is expected in Fall 2026.
Alongside her creative work, Rania brings extensive experience in social services, behavioural science, and music industry operations. She earned a Diploma in Social Service Work (1997), a Graduate Certificate in Victimology (2021), and an Honours Bachelor of Behavioural Science (2025), and is currently pursuing a Diploma in Music Business Administration. Her academic focus has included HIV/AIDS awareness, suicide intervention, victim advocacy, and research into intention and identity in the female songwriter’s narrative.
Professionally, Rania works as Director of Artist Services at miniMAJOR Music Management in London, UK, where she supports artists with branding, biography writing, digital strategy, and communications, applying counselling-informed approaches to client support. She has also worked extensively in programming, events, and artist relations with venues and organisations including The Bedford in Balham, UK. Her experience spans event coordination, scheduling, technical logistics, audience engagement, and industry communications. Rania’s work is grounded in interdisciplinary practice, combining behavioural science, advocacy, and creative expression. She continues to explore themes of identity, resilience, and human behaviour across poetry, music, and academic research, while maintaining a strong commitment to mental health awareness and community support through both artistic and professional channels.
