Carnivorous cerebral delight
    manages to reign
over the course of four years
  heartache ensues
     broken bonds
  forgered on falsehoods
     slowly torn parchment
  decay of souls
     dark blemished cavities
in the crevace
    slivers ripped
   from their tethers
     with unapologetic houndstooth
       not of the pretty pattern variety
   crimson drips from the edges
       of Cinderella’s dress
   annihilation caused by hatred
        survival of one fall
  and the capacity
     to rise
   encased in bile
      a soak into the abyss
         rejuvenates
   to soothe
      the pain
