At times, it frustrates
     when we don't see our selfworth                                                                                
                          and its existence
         abolished self-awareness yields disturbance

  Arrogance is unpleasant 
     syrupy disingenuous words
 uttered to manipulate 
    jealousy is counterproductive 
       especially as a result 
   of human suffering 

 Once brought to the forefront 
    of my brain, the logic
 that the most vicious hot sauce
    comes in the tiniest bottles 
 what strives to be essential
    the value others see
 or that gazed upon ourselves 

   Survival mode 
exists for a reason
  oral history 
     of legend 
 once a spark 
    from the smallest 
     flicker
